<text>
It is discrimination but unfortunately for you it is justified discrimination not criminal. There are numerous factors that determine how much you pay for your life insurance premium. Insurance actuaries’ assess your age, occupation, health, habits, and your credit report when evaluating your quote. Incidents of premature death in people that smoke are heavily documented by medical journals and records.

There is an option though for those willing to quit, insurers will change your status to non-smoker after a period of between 1-5 years.

Honesty should be upheld when filling out the application. Answering questions as truthfully as possible will be held in good stead and most insurance companies will ask you to undergo a medical examination as well. The answers will also be compared to your credit and medical records.</p
