      <text>&lt;p&gt;This is dependent if your state has a &#8220;mini-COBRA&#8221; law. The law is similar to the customary law but for a shorter period of time in most cases. There has been extensions to the length of the of coverage in some states, completely taking benefit of the nine months of subsides of offer.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; Oregon, Texas and Vermont have legislation pending to lengthen coverage to at least nine months. States with mini-COBRA laws have always had the nine months, while California, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North and South Dakota continues for up to 36 months. Note that South Dakota premiums increase 150% after 18 months.&lt;/p&gt;                                                        </text>
